“In just one night, we had to take in 60 new children.”
Project manager Erika Spillmann shared this with us in a voice message. Behind this figure lie individual stories: children who could suddenly no longer return to their homes, and families who lost everything in a matter of seconds.
Across the earthquake-affected region, around 28,000 people have lost their homes. Since then, many have been living in parks or public squares—on mattresses, under tarps, or in makeshift tents. The team from Hogar Bambi has been providing emergency aid on the ground from the very beginning. In addition to caring for the newly admitted children, they are supplying families with food, drinking water, hygiene products, and other urgently needed relief supplies.
Thank you for making this aid possible with your donation. Every bit of support gives people new hope during a time of great uncertainty.
